Episode #8: Data – A Goldmine Opportunity

by | Aug 25, 2020

Tech That

In this episode, Amit Luthra, Director & General Manager – Data Centre Solutions, Dell Technologies India offers advice for businesses that are struggling to manage their data. He says organizations should have a “data-first” mindset with a framework and two critical tenets.

It was rightly predicted a few years ago that data deluge will take place and the world will be driven by this data. In fact, as per the industry reports, by 2025, the amount of data that will be generated will reach a staggering 175 zettabytes.  It is remarkable to see how companies are leveraging or planning to leverage their data capital to achieve various goals – improving customer experiences; expansion to new markets; increasing the productivity of employees, enhancing their digital journeys, and creating competitive advantage. Now with the influx of emerging technologies such as AI, ML, IOT, this place will further be expanded and newer opportunities will be brought to light.

Are businesses of today adequately equipped to store, manage, and process their data capital at the right speed? Do they even understand the formats in which their data is generated?

Listen to this episode for the answers.
