Google Cloud Appoints Bikram Singh Bedi as New Leader for its India Business

Google Cloud today announced that Bikram Singh Bedi will succeed Karan Bajwa as its new Managing Director for India. Bikram is a senior leader with over 26 years of leadership experience and will be responsible for leading Google Cloud’s sales and operations teams in this dynamic market.

Bikram joins Google Cloud from Grofers where he served as President Strategy and New Initiatives. Prior to that, he set up the AWS business in India and was the head of India and South Asia for 6 years. He also held various leadership positions at IBM and Oracle.

Speaking on the appointment, Karan Bajwa, Vice President of Google Cloud in Asia Pacific said,  “I’m happy to welcome Bikram to lead our India business. With a proven track record of building and growing successful enterprise businesses, his experience will be a tremendous asset to the team as we embark on this next phase of growth.”

Google Cloud has been on a strong growth trajectory with enterprises in India over the last 12 months, with wins across major industry verticals. Organizations that trust Google Cloud include Wipro, Sharechat, Tech Mahindra, TVS ASL, ICICI Prudential, Nobroker.com, Cleartrip among many others. Google Cloud also continues to invest in India and is on track to launch its Delhi cloud region in India this year‒it’s second after Mumbai which was launched in 2017.

Bikram SIngh Bedi joined Google in February 2021 and is responsible for driving all revenue and go-to-market operations for Google Cloud’s extensive solution portfolio that includes Google Cloud Platform and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Meet). He will be responsible for leading Google Cloud’s sales and operations teams in this dynamic market.
