Digital Creed is live at SURGE

by | Feb 23, 2016

Bangalore 23 Feb — The Manpo Convention centre here is alive once again, as the first day of SURGE Conference begins. We’re sitting in the Centre Stage hall waiting for the welcome address and keynote.

Follow our live coverage on Twitter @brian9p and then check our reports on this site later today. Surge is trending on Twitter #SURGEConf.

We arrived early to register and survey the conference centre and expo. Registration was smooth and we did not face any hassles as it was all done in advance via the Surge app. With the exception of the conference map and agenda, a fold out sheet, Surge is paperless! All the info on speakers, agenda, exhibitors and side events is available on the app which is also your registration tool.

As we walked about the two expo halls, we noticed simplicity and a down-to-business atmosphere. With the exception of a few shell stalls, the rest of the exhibitors present on their laptops on long tables.

There are three conference halls or stages. And most of these are in an open format with an easy atmosphere.

Around 5,000 visitors are expected at SURGE today and tomorrow.

Well the Centre stage is now full at 10:13 hrs and we are still waiting for the welcome address.

Come back here for more reports or log in to Twitter for live reportage.

The traffic and the approach road to the convention centre is a damper. So it’s a good idea to start early tomorrow.
