Experts at DatacenterDynamics Conference Acknowledge India’s Datacenter Expertise

DCD – DatacenterDynamics organized its 8th edition of DCD > Mumbai conference, an event that tracked the data center transformation of enterprises on November 22nd, 2019. Over 500 senior industry professionals and 35+ leading industry speakers who strive to keep the digital world up and running attended the conclave.

The experts had a brief discussion on various topics like digital transformation linked with the Government’s vision of Digital India, changing data center models, how cloud and IT infrastructure professionals strive to solve the capacity challenges and where the datacenter and cloud industry’s future is headed.

The key themes of this 8th Annual conferences were 5G, AI & the Connected Edge, Planning for Hybrid IT, Building at Scale and Speed, Energy Smart Infrastructure and Modernization & Lifecycle Management. The event witnessed a detailed conversation on how enterprise data centers are being re-defined and how the economics of digital business, IT and data center service delivery are being re-shaped.

Mr. Stephen Worn, CTO & Managing Director, NAM, Datacenter Dynamics interacted and said, “India is a land of enormous possibilities. Today, India’s Enterprise IT network is at par with the best in the world and the datacenter and cloud industry has the capability of becoming global leaders. India’s data network capabilities are at par with London, Singapore, and Silicon Valley. 52% capacity of India’s data networks comes from Mumbai alone. India is also an extremely mobile-friendly country and hence the need for data networks is huge.

The true potential of India’s push towards data networks and cloud will be seen when the Metro 3 Line in Mumbai will be opened to the public. It will be a seamless network for passengers and will showcase the true power of Data Networks supporting the entire effort to make city travel easy for commuters. As an example, Tata and Reliance are doing a phenomenal job of being a Global corporate house because of its Data Network capabilities.”
