Social media has made journalism instantaneous

Remember the days when journalists and reporters submitted their stories to a ‘Desk’ — which in turn went to an Editor? Well social media has changed the game. Journalism is a lot more ‘instant’ and different now.

Journalists have had to learn new skills like ‘micro blogging’ and photo editing. And stories are filed at the press event itself — not back at the office.
