The Company is a significant player in the Cardiovascular, Diabetology, Asthma, Pediatric, CNS, GI, Anti-Infective and NSAID space, and holds a global leadership position in the Anti-TB segment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_1381169247078314965x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Lupin is the 12<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0and 8<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0largest generics pharmaceutical company by market capitalization (March 31<sup>st<\/sup>, 2018, Bloomberg) and revenues (December 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a02017, Bloomberg LTM) respectively. The Company is the 4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0largest pharmaceutical player in the US by prescriptions (IQVIA MAT March 2018); 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0largest Indian pharmaceutical company by global revenues (December 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a02017, Bloomberg LTM); 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0largest generic pharmaceutical player in Japan and 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0largest company in the Indian Pharmaceutical Market (IQVIA MAT March 2018).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lupin Limited required a high-level security solution to safeguard critical applications in its data centers. It also required protection of email on Microsoft Office 365 against advanced attacks on a priority basis. With more than 300 servers running on multiple operating systems, Lupin also required the ability to detect targeted attacks, advanced threats, and ransomware across the network, capturing lateral, inbound and outbound traffic. Finally, Lupin wanted to manage the solution through a single console.<\/p>\n<p>So Lupin opted for\u00a0Trend Micro&#8217;s<strong> OfficeScan<\/strong>\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-GB\">solution as it eliminated security gaps across endpoints by constantly learning, adapting, and automatically sharing threat intelligence across Lupin\u2019s environment. It also chose their <strong>Connected Threat Defense<\/strong> as it delivered network sandbox rapid response updates to endpoints when a new threat was detected, enabling faster protection and reducing the spread of malware. Trend Micro\u00a0<\/span><strong>Deep Discovery\u00a0<\/strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><strong>Inspector<\/strong> provided identification against advanced and unknown malware, ransomware, zero-day exploits, command and control (C&amp;C) communications, and evasive attacker activities that are invisible to standard security defense.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u201c<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Lupin was seeking a comprehensive security solution that would equip their servers, network, and email with advanced protection, and that could detect and block security exploits, while also being equipped with cloud capabilities,&#8221; said \u00a0<b>Nilesh Jain, Vice President \u2013 South East Asia and India, Trend Micro.<\/b>\u00a0 &#8220;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Trend Micro deployed its solution in two phases. The first phase involved the deployment of\u00a0<\/span><strong>Deep Security<\/strong>\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">in a hybrid environment, which brought in robust capabilities for physical, virtual, and cloud servers, in one integrated platform. The second phase involved the deployment of <strong>Smart Protection Complete<\/strong> and\u00a0<\/span><strong>Deep Discovery<\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\"><strong>\u00a0Inspector<\/strong>. Also,\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Cloud App Security\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">was used to secure<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0more than 20,000 mailboxes operating on\u00a0<\/span>Office 365.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Deep Security supports legacy operating systems, providing seamless integration for VMware deployments, and integrates with multi-cloud players, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform service. Our solution was seamlessly integrated with Lupin\u2019s VMware deployments,\u201d said Jain.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Trend<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0Micro was also able to complement the existing security solutions of Lupin Limited<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0through a comprehensive security across their major vectors, advanced shielding from vulnerabilities with virtual patching and safeguarding of networks and endpoints against advanced attacks.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">By providing out-of-box integration with existing perimeter security solutions, Trend Micro was able to further simplify Lupin\u2019s security operations with a single management dashboard for all capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrend Micro is a huge plus to our organization.
